Tron (TRX) Teams Up with vSport & Wesley Sneijder for the World Cup

Tron (TRX)

Tron (TRX) and vSport, a blockchain project under the Sports Value Foundation, just recently announced their alliance – just before the World Cup kicks off. vSport is directed by Wesley Sneijder, a Dutch professional soccer star who currently plays midfielder for the Qatar Stars League club Al-Gharafa.

vSport claims they are the world’s first open, non-profit, blockchain powered ecosystem geared towards the sports industry. The company seeks to build a sports platform that teams up with leading companies to give athletes and fans access to smart wearables, national team nutritionists, world-class payment systems, and authorized distributors at the World Cup.

While vSport may not be groundbreaking for the blockchain community, it is geared specifically towards a sport that holds 4 billion fans – making it the most popular sport in the world.

Justin Sun, Tron’s Founder, said:

“Soccer is the biggest sport in the world. It has the largest fan base, and the community has always had a keen sense and great enthusiasm for new things. Combining soccer, and even sports in general, with blockchain technology, will effectively expand community support for blockchain. This will provide people with an enhanced experience of blockchain and even change their lifestyles. That’s what we are going for with this TRON/vSport partnership.”

The 2018 World Cup held in Russia this year is set to kick off on June 14th. Tron and vSport are working to build a blockchain-based soccer match results forecasting platform.

The due hope to provide fans around the world a quality soccer entertainment experience.
